Acharia College of Engineering Technology invites applications from eligible candidates for full-time Mathematics faculty positions.
Positions Available
- Professor – Mathematics
- Associate Professor – Mathematics
- Assistant Professor – Mathematics
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should meet the applicable UGC regulations and institutional norms.
The basic requirements include:
- M.Sc. in Mathematics with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized university.
- Ph.D. in Mathematics or a relevant discipline, or NET/SLET/SET, as applicable under prevailing UGC regulations.
- Candidates with a relevant Ph.D. who satisfy the applicable UGC conditions may be considered for exemption from NET/SLET/SET.
- Strong academic background.
- Good communication and teaching skills.
Desirable Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Ph.D. in Mathematics.
- Teaching experience in Mathematics or Engineering Mathematics for B.Tech programmes.
- Research publications in reputed journals or conferences.
- Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, Mathematica or other mathematical computing tools.
- Experience using technology and innovative teaching-learning methods.
- Experience in curriculum development, student mentoring and academic activities.
Candidates possessing Ph.D. along with NET/SET/SLET, relevant teaching experience and exposure to Engineering Mathematics may receive preference, subject to applicable regulations and institutional requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Selected faculty members will be expected to:
- Teach Mathematics and Engineering Mathematics courses for B.Tech students.
- Contribute to teaching, research and student development.
- Support curriculum development and technology-enabled teaching.
- Mentor students and participate in departmental academic activities.
- Undertake research and contribute to publications in reputed journals and conferences.
- Participate in other academic responsibilities assigned by the institution.
