Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject of the Agriculture Faculty with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of 6.50 on a 10-point scale, along with a good academic record.
NET Qualification
Candidates with a Master’s degree must satisfy the prescribed National Eligibility Test (NET) requirements and publication criteria.
The notification specifies the following conditions:
- Candidates with a Master’s degree must have NET qualification and at least one publication in a NAAS-rated refereed journal.
- Candidates holding a PhD may be exempted from NET if their PhD was completed with coursework in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009, and they have at least two full-length publications with a NAAS rating of not less than 4 by the application deadline.
- A PhD completed without coursework does not qualify for the specified NET exemption.
