Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Guest Faculty positions must generally possess NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as prescribed under the UGC Regulations, 2018, Clause 3.10, along with the applicable amendment notification dated 30 June 2023.
Candidates must also have completed the 10+2+3+2 educational pattern.
NET/SLET/SET qualification is not required for candidates belonging to disciplines in which the NET/SLET/SET examination is not conducted.
Candidates should carefully verify the subject-specific eligibility requirements before applying.
Salary Details
Full-Time Guest Faculty
- Candidates with NET/SLET/Ph.D.
- Maximum workload: 16 hours per week
- Maximum: 64 hours per month
- Remuneration: ₹50,000/- per month
Part-Time Guest Faculty
- With NET/SLET/Ph.D.: ₹780/- per hour
- Without NET/SLET/Ph.D.: ₹680/- per hour
- Minimum workload: 8 hours per week
Full-time Guest Faculty members with NET/SLET/Ph.D. will be engaged for the academic year, subject to their participation in academic, administrative and examination-related work assigned by the concerned Directors, Chairpersons or Coordinators. They are also required to publish one refereed journal article during the academic year.

Application Process
Eligible candidates must submit their applications through the Bangalore University online application portal between 5 August and 21 August 2026.
After completing the online application and paying the applicable processing fee, candidates must submit one hard copy of the completed application to the concerned department by 5:00 PM on 24 August 2026.
Applications sent through email/Gmail will not be accepted.
Only candidates who have completed the online application process will be considered for hard-copy submission.
Candidates applying for departments under the PG Centre, Ramanagara should submit their hard copy to the concerned Chairperson of the respective department at Jnanabharathi Campus.
Candidates applying for more than one department must submit separate applications for each department.
