Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026

The College of Horticulture & Forestry, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Project Associate-I (PA-I) under a DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India-funded project.

The appointment is temporary, contractual and co-terminus with the project.

Project Details

Project Title:
Niche modeling and exploration of genetic worth of major bamboos for enhanced productivity in pulp and paper industry

Funding Agency: DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India

Department: Forest Biology & Tree Improvement

Eligibility

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in any of the following areas from a recognized university:

  • Forestry – Forest Biology & Tree Improvement
  • Forestry – Forest Products & Utilization
  • Forestry – Genetics & Plant Breeding
  • Plant Biotechnology
  • Forest Biotechnology

Desirable Experience

Preference will be given to candidates having experience in:

  • Forest Genetics
  • Tree Improvement
  • Biotechnology
  • Bamboo or germplasm survey and collection
  • Vegetative propagation and nursery techniques
  • Molecular marker analysis
  • GIS and Ecological Niche Modelling, including MaxEnt/QGIS
  • Soil analysis
  • Fieldwork and sample collection in difficult or remote terrain

Candidates should also be willing to travel and stay at far-off locations for project-related fieldwork.

Age Limit

Maximum Age: Below 35 years as on the date of interview.

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India norms.

Salary / Emoluments

₹31,000 per month + HRA for NET-qualified candidates.

Selection will be conducted through a Walk-in Interview.
