Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
  • Distinguished academic record in areas related to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s philosophy, education, social justice, inclusion, harmony, or allied fields.
  • Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-CARE listed journals.
  • Research Score of at least 120, as prescribed under UGC Regulations, 2018.
  • Minimum 10 years of teaching and/or research experience in a University, College, or recognized Research Institution as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in successfully guiding doctoral (Ph.D.) research scholars.

Eligibility Conditions

  • Appointment will initially be made for one year and may be extended based on university requirements and approval.
  • Superannuated (retired) persons are not eligible to apply.
  • Candidates should satisfy all eligibility conditions prescribed under the applicable UGC Regulations and university recruitment rules.

Key Responsibilities

The selected Chair Professor will be expected to:

  • Conduct advanced teaching and research in Dr. Ambedkar Studies.
  • Promote interdisciplinary research related to education, social justice, inclusion, and cultural studies.
  • Supervise doctoral scholars and mentor researchers.
  • Organize seminars, conferences, workshops, and extension activities.
  • Publish high-quality research in reputed journals.
  • Strengthen the academic activities of the Dr. Ambedkar Chair.

Salary

Salary: As per University/UGC Norms (Academic Pay Level 14).
