Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- MBBS degree recognized under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- MD/MS/DNB in the relevant specialty from a recognized teaching institution.
- Super Specialty qualification (DM/M.Ch./DrNB) in Urology or the concerned discipline.
- Qualification should meet the latest National Medical Commission (NMC) regulations.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should satisfy the following requirements:
- Maximum age: 45 years
- Completion of Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR) from an NMC-designated institution.
- Completion of Basic Medical Education Technology (RBMET) training from an NMC-designated institution.
- Eligibility is subject to the latest NMC Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations (Amendment), 2023.
Key Responsibilities
The selected faculty member will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and treating diseases of the urinary tract and male reproductive system.
- Providing OPD, IPD, emergency, and surgical urology services.
- Performing urological surgeries and minimally invasive procedures.
- Supervising postgraduate students, residents, interns, and junior faculty.
- Conducting clinical examinations and interpreting diagnostic investigations including CT, MRI, X-ray, fluoroscopy, cystoscopy, and related procedures.
- Prescribing medications and monitoring treatment outcomes.
- Managing patient records and ensuring quality healthcare delivery.
- Participating in medical research, publications, and academic conferences.
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Guiding thesis work, research projects, and academic activities.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for comprehensive patient management.
- Educating patients regarding disease prevention, treatment options, and postoperative care.
- Following institutional protocols and National Medical Commission guidelines.
