Organization Profile: Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) is the first Pharmacy University in India and third in the world, established by Act 07 of 2008 State legislature of Delhi and functional from 2015. Recognized as a 100% grant-in-aid State Government University under UGC Section 22 and 2f. The University’s history spans 57 years, beginning with the D. Pharm. program in polytechnics in 1964, followed by the College of Pharmacy in 1972, Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR) in 2004, and finally DPSRU as it exists now.

The General Council, which is led by the Hon. Lt. Governor as Chancellor, the Board of Governors, the Academic Council, and the Finance Committee, all of which are composed of respected outsiders, is in charge of overseeing the administration’s implementation of the Act, Statutes, and Ordinances published by the Government of Delhi.

Essential Qualification & Experience:-

A person possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals and institutional commitment is to be appointed as Vice- Chancellor. The person to be appointed as a Vice-Chancellor should be a distinguished academician, with a minimum of ten Years’ of experience as Professor in a University or ten years’ of experience in reputed research and/or academic administrative organization with proof of having demonstrated academic leadership:

Desirable Qualification:-
A Scholar of eminence in the area of pharmaceutical sciences or allied areas and having administrative experience in a post graduate degree level institution of higher learning in a similar area as per the DPSRU Act, 2008 OR An eminent scientist /researcher in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences or allied Health sciences as per DPSRU Statute.
