About Organization: The DLR group of institutions was established in 2009 by the philanthropist Mr. D.L. RAVI as part of the Sri Matha Bhuvaneshwari Educational Trust. It grew gradually from the seed he planted. Initially, the seed was planted as an exclusive women’s institution called Arcot Sri Mahalakshmi Womens College of Education and Arcot Sri Mahalakshmi Womens Teacher Training Institute of Elementary Education (D.T.Ed.).With the support of Thiruvalluvar University in Vellore and the Tamilnadu government, we launched DLR Arts & Science College (Co-Ed) in 2017 to provide access to higher education for both boys and girls.

The Institution is located between two important historic cities: Arni, a globally recognized city for its rice and silk products, and Arcot, a Nawab-ruled kingdom renowned for its sweets and savory foods. The Institution is located in Thathiravadi Village, Arcot, Ranipet District’s serene, ecologically friendly green spaces. The estimated population of the area is 1.5 million, with approximately 450 village panchayats.The school’s location next to a state highway makes commuting easier for the students.DLR offers educational services to the surrounding villages and the rural community of Villapakkam.
