Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • M.Sc. in Biochemistry or Allied Subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) from a recognized Indian or accredited foreign university.

Additionally, candidates must satisfy any one of the following:

  • Qualified UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/SLET/SET, OR
  • Awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC regulations.

NET/SLET/SET Exemption

Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to 11 July 2009 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET, provided they fulfill all UGC-prescribed conditions, including:

  • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
  • Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
  • Open viva voce conducted.
  • Minimum two research papers published from Ph.D. work (at least one in a refereed journal).
  • Minimum two conference/seminar presentations based on Ph.D. work.

The above conditions must be certified by the Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs) of the concerned university.

Desirable Qualification

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry or allied disciplines.

Salary Details

  • Honorarium: ₹1,500 per lecture
  • Maximum Ceiling: ₹50,000 per month

Important Note

  • Selected candidates must provide an undertaking that they are not receiving any fellowship, stipend, or financial assistance from any agency during the tenure.
  • Candidates receiving JRF scholarships within the university are not eligible for honorarium but will be issued an experience certificate.
