The ICFAI University was founded in accordance with Tripura State Legislature Act No. 8 of 2004. Through their letter no. F.9-7/2006(CPP-0 dated November 1, 2006, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has added the ICFAI to its list of universities under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. Situated in Kamalghat, Sadar, Tripura West, the university campus occupies 32.53 acres of land, offering an expansive setting conducive to education and learning.
