Organisational Overview: Established in 2015 through a Public-Private Partnership between the Ministry of Education, the Government of India, the Government of Karnataka, and industrial partner Keonics, IIT Dharwad is an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament (23 of 2017). The Institute, which will move to a large permanent campus of 60 acres close to Dharwad between October and December 2020, provides BTech and Ph.D. programmes. The main goal of IIIT Dharwad, a non-profit higher education institution focused on information technology (IT), is to close the skills gap in high-end IT and help India maintain its position as the world’s leader in this field and related fields. The Senate, Board of Governors, and Chairperson of the Institute, Smt. Sudha Murty, make up highly eminent leaders from administration, academia, and industry.

Essential Qualifications: 

• Ph.D from a reputed Institute or university in a related discipline with a consistently good academic record;
•  Candidates who have defended their Ph.D. thesis in the last 5-7 years will be considered only for Assistant Professor positions.

Emoluments: As per the Ministry of Education, Government of India (MoE, GoI)/ Institute norms as applicable. Candidates with exceptional credentials may be granted higher pay on the recommendations of the Selection Committee.
