Designation: Junior Research Fellow

Project title: Active Flutter Suppression in Turbomachines.

About the Project: Flutter is a dynamic aeroelastic phenomenon resulting in catastrophic failure of the structure. Flutter is observed in all the structures moving in a fluid, including wings, compressors, and wind turbines. The objectives of the present work are to design and realize an aeroelastic compressor cascade and implement active flutter suppression using steady/unsteady blowing. The aeroelastic compressor cascade would be instrumented with surface pressure measurements, accelerometers to understand the flow dynamics during flutter.

Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:

A. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.

B. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
