Educational Qualification

Technical Officer (CCS)

Candidates should possess:

  • B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or allied disciplines with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • 6 years of relevant experience after the qualifying degree in Level 6, or 3 years of experience in Level 7 or above.
  • M.Tech./M.E. and Ph.D. holders will receive experience weightage as per institute norms.

Desirable Skills

  • R&D and instructional laboratory management
  • IT and communication asset maintenance
  • Windows/Linux system administration
  • Network management and troubleshooting
  • Web application and website management
  • Server and HPC maintenance
  • Router, switches and LAN management
  • Online meeting platforms (WebEx, Zoom, etc.)
  • Network certifications such as CCNA, ACMP, ACSX, JNCIA-Junos
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Junior Technical Superintendent (CSE)

Candidates should possess any one of the following:

  • Three-year Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering or allied discipline with 6 years of relevant experience.

OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree (other than B.Tech./B.E.) in Computer Science, Computer Applications or allied discipline with 5 years of relevant experience.

OR

  • B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science, Information Science or allied discipline with 3 years of relevant experience.

A full-time Master’s degree in the relevant discipline will be counted towards experience (maximum two years).

Age Limit

  • Technical Officer: 42 Years
  • Junior Technical Superintendent: 34 Years

Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and eligible candidates as per Government of India rules.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission:

  • Technical Officer: Pay Level-10
  • Junior Technical Superintendent: Pay Level-6

In addition to Basic Pay, employees will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other admissible benefits as per Government of India and IIT Dharwad rules.

Technical Officer (Level 10)

  • Written Test / Evaluation (Qualifying)
  • Personal Interview

Junior Technical Superintendent (Level 6)

  • Written Test-I
  • Written Test-II (if conducted)
  • Final selection based on institute norms.

Fee Exemption: SC, ST, Women, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and regular IIT Dharwad employees are exempted from paying the application fee.
