IMSc is inviting applications in the following areas:
- Pure Mathematics
- Theoretical Physics, particularly Quantum Matter and Information
- Theoretical Computer Science, including:
- Theory of Cryptography
- Theoretical Foundations of AI/ML
- Mathematical Aspects of Quantum Computing
- Computational Biology
Eligibility
Fellow
- Ph.D.
- Minimum 2 years of postdoctoral experience
Reader
- Ph.D.
- Minimum 5 years of postdoctoral experience
Salary & Benefits
IMSc is an aided institution under the Department of Atomic Energy and follows Central Government pay scales and allowances applicable to Central Government employees.
The emoluments are at par with similar Government of India institutions.
Other facilities include:
- Faculty accommodation off-campus, subject to availability.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) where Institute accommodation is not availed or is unavailable.
