Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice Principal (Academics) to lead and enhance the academic and research initiatives at SRMIST Ramapuram. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, administrative leadership, and a proven track record in research and curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee academic planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with NEP and OBE frameworks.

  • Ensure adherence to the Learning Outcome-Centric Framework (LOCF) for measurable educational outcomes.

  • Mentor faculty members and promote research excellence, including publications and funded projects.

  • Foster interdisciplinary collaborations and industry-academia partnerships.

  • Monitor student performance and implement strategies for academic improvement.

  • Guide doctoral candidates and support research initiatives.

  • Represent the institution in academic forums, accreditation processes, and policy-making bodies.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.

  • A strong research profile with at least 10 high-quality publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals.

  • Experience in supervising doctoral candidates is preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience at the university/college level.

  • Prior experience as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor or equivalent in a reputed institution.

  • Demonstrated leadership in academic administration, curriculum design, or accreditation processes (e.g., NAAC, NBA).

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • In-depth understanding of NEP 2020, OBE, and LOCF frameworks.

  • Ability to drive faculty development programs and innovative teaching methodologies.

  • Proficiency in academic quality assurance and accreditation processes.
