About the Project

The research project is titled:

“Development of Data-Driven Machine-learned Interatomic Potentials for Quantum Molecular Simulations of Condensed-Phases and Reaction Dynamics.”

The project focuses on developing data-driven, machine-learned interatomic potentials for quantum molecular simulations involving condensed phases and reaction dynamics.

Selected candidates will work under the supervision of Dr. Apurba Nandi, Department of Chemistry, IISER Bhopal.

Vacancy Details

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 02 Posts

The initial appointment is for one year, with potential continuation toward a Ph.D., subject to satisfactory performance and fulfilment of Institute criteria.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should satisfy either of the following eligibility routes:

Route 1

  • Master’s degree with at least 60% marks or 7.0 CPI/CGPA
  • Along with at least one national-level qualification such as:
    • UGC-JRF
    • CSIR-JRF
    • NET-LS
    • JEST
    • Valid GATE score

Route 2

Candidates who have completed:

  • BS-MS from national-level institutes such as IIT/IISER/IISc
  • With at least 8 CPI

Eligible Disciplines

Candidates from the following disciplines may apply:

  • Chemistry
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Physics
  • Data Science
  • Computer Science
  • Related fields

Fellowship

The selected JRFs will receive:

₹37,000 per month + 20% HRA

Duration of Appointment

The initial appointment will be for:

1 year
