About the Institution
K.N.S. Institute of Technology was established in 2001 by Sri Late C.K. Jaffer Sharief, Former Union Railway Minister, Government of India, in memory of his son Late Sri Khader Nawaz Sharief. The institution was inaugurated on 17 October 2002 in the presence of eminent personalities including Dr. Raja Ramanna, renowned scientist and former Chairman of the KNSIT Governing Council, Dr. Natarajan, former Chairman of AICTE, and Dr. K. Balaveera Reddy, former Vice-Chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
