About University: Mizoram University is a Central University, established in the year 2000. It is Accredited A grade by NAAC recently. The campus has an area of about 978 acres in the midst of natural beauty and scenic hills near Tanhril village at the western part of the capital city of Aizawl. The University campus is about 15 Km from main Capital City Aizawl. There are five Departments under this School namely, the Department of Information Technology (IT), Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Department of Electrical Engineering (EE), Department of Computer Engineering (CE) and Department of Civil Engineering. B. Tech programme in IT and ECE commenced from August 2007 and August, 2008 respectively whereas B. Tech programme in the other two disciplines i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE) and Computer Engineering (CE) commenced from August, 2012. The B.Tech programme in Civil Engineering is already running since 2015.
