Educational Qualifications
Candidates applying for the Assistant Professor position in Mathematics must possess:
- B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or a relevant discipline.
- Ph.D. in the relevant area.
Preferred Specialization: Applied Mathematics.
Candidates who have been awarded their Ph.D. and candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree may apply, subject to the stated eligibility requirements.
Salary and Remuneration

Leave Entitlement: Four casual leaves per semester. Leave taken beyond the permitted entitlement will be treated as Leave Without Pay (LWP), with a proportionate deduction from remuneration.

- The engagement is purely temporary and initially covers the Autumn Semester 2026.
- Extension may be considered on a semester-to-semester basis.
- The appointment is a stop-gap arrangement and does not confer any right to regular employment at NIT Delhi.
