National Institute of Technology Patna (NIT Patna) has invited applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG) sponsored research project. The selected candidate will work in the area of wireless communication, VLSI design, FPGA-based modelling and advanced communication systems.

About the Research Project

The selected JRF will work on the project:

“Developing Secure Maritime Tactical Communication System via Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface-aided Hybrid Satellite-Terrestrial Network.”

The project is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under the Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG) scheme.

The research areas include:

  • Wireless communication
  • VLSI design
  • FPGA-based modelling
  • Advanced communication systems
  • Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface-aided networks
  • Hybrid satellite-terrestrial communication

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess either of the following:

Option 1

Master’s Degree (M.Tech/M.Sc./MS) in:

  • Electronics and Communication Engineering, or
  • VLSI discipline

with at least 55% marks.

Option 2

B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Desired Skills

Preference may be given to candidates having knowledge or experience in:

  • VLSI design for wireless communication
  • FPGA-based modelling
  • AMD Vivado Design Suite
  • Vitis tools

Fellowship / Salary

First Two Years

₹37,000 per month + 18% HRA, as applicable.

The fellowship may be revised for the subsequent period depending on the candidate’s performance.

The position is purely temporary and performance will be reviewed periodically.

Duration

The appointment is for 2 years.

The position is purely temporary and is associated with the sponsored research project.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is:

35 years as on the last date of receipt of application.

Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Female candidates will be provided as per Government of India norms.
