About the Project

IISER Tirupati invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) / Research Associate-I (RA-I) position under a research project focusing on the role of microcephaly proteins in cancer and infections.

The research will involve cell and molecular biology approaches to understand the functions of microcephaly-associated proteins and their involvement in cancer, infections, and cellular processes.

Candidates should have evidence of conducting high-quality research in molecular and cell biology.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Preference may be given to candidates with hands-on experience in:

• Mammalian cell culture
• Molecular cloning
• Microscopy
• Advanced cell biology techniques
• Molecular biology techniques
• Cancer or infection biology research

A strong research record relevant to the project will be an advantage.

Fellowship / Salary

The fellowship depends on the level of appointment:

Senior Research Fellow (SRF):
INR 42,000 per month + 10% HRA

Research Associate-I (RA-I):
INR 58,000 per month + 10% HRA

Age Limit

The upper age limit is:

30 years

Age will be considered as specified in the official advertisement. Applicable age relaxation, if any, will be provided according to prevailing Government of India rules.

Duration of Appointment

The initial appointment will be for:

1 Year

The appointment may be extended by up to:

6 Months

Extension will be subject to performance review, project requirements, and applicable institute rules.

The position is purely temporary and contractual.
