Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai has invited applications for Project Assistant (Technical) and Project Associate (Technical) positions under a sponsored research project titled “Design and Implementation of a P2P Solar Energy Trading Platform.” The recruitment is being conducted on a temporary basis in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
IIT Bhilai was established in Chhattisgarh by the Ministry of Education in 2016. The institute is presently located at its permanent campus in Kutelabhata, Bhilai, and offers B.Tech., M.Tech., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programmes across various academic departments.
Project Assistant (Technical)
Essential Qualification
Candidates applying for the Project Assistant position should satisfy any one of the following requirements:
- 3-year Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology with 2 years of relevant CS/IT job experience.
- B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Technology.
- M.Sc. in Computer Science/Information Technology.
- MCA from a recognized university.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for the Project Assistant position is 35 years.
Salary
The selected Project Assistant will receive a consolidated salary ranging from ₹28,000 to ₹41,000 per month.
Project Associate (Technical)
Essential Qualification
Candidates applying for the Project Associate position should satisfy any one of the following requirements:
- 3-year Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology with 4 years of relevant CS/IT job experience.
- B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Technology with 2 years of relevant CS/IT job experience.
- M.Sc. in Computer Science/Information Technology with 2 years of relevant CS/IT job experience.
- MCA with 2 years of relevant CS/IT job experience.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for the Project Associate position is 45 years.
Salary
The selected Project Associate will receive a consolidated salary ranging from ₹35,000 to ₹50,000 per month.

Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas will be preferred:
- Android application development using Java
- Full-stack web development

- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- APK testing, including tools such as Frida

Candidates possessing a combination of software development, cybersecurity, blockchain, AI/ML, and secure infrastructure skills may be particularly suitable for the project.
About the Research Project
The selected candidates will work on the sponsored research project “Design and Implementation of a P2P Solar Energy Trading Platform.” The project is focused on developing technological solutions for peer-to-peer solar energy trading and may involve software development, distributed technologies, blockchain, cybersecurity, backend systems, and related areas.
The appointment is initially for six months and may be extended depending on the candidate’s performance and project requirements.
