Essential Qualification
Candidates should possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in an appropriate subject with:
- First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree level
- 60% marks or above at the preceding degree level
- Excellent academic record throughout
Candidates should meet the academic and other eligibility conditions prescribed by IIM Kozhikode.
Experience Requirements
Assistant Professor – Grade I
Candidates applying for Assistant Professor Grade I should have:
- Ph.D. or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years of teaching or equivalent research/industrial experience after Ph.D.
Assistant Professor – Grade II
Fresh Ph.D. holders and candidates having less than 3 years of teaching or equivalent research/industrial experience may apply.
Such candidates may initially be considered for appointment on a contractual basis and may be placed as Assistant Professor Grade II at Academic Pay Level 10 or Pay Level 11, depending on their experience.
They may subsequently be considered for regularization according to the rules of the Institute.
Pay Scale
The positions carry the following academic pay levels:
- Assistant Professor Grade I: Pay Level 12 / 13A1
- Assistant Professor Grade II: Pay Level 10 / 11
The applicable pay level will be determined according to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and Institute rules.
