University of Allahabad Recruitment 2026 – Overview

The University of Allahabad, Prayagraj, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) under a CST-UP sponsored research project titled “Modeling and Implementation of an AI-Assisted FET-based Soil Sensor for Precision Farming.”

The position is available in the Department of Electronics and Communication. Candidates possessing relevant B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech qualifications in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electronics Engineering, with first division, are eligible to apply.

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹28,000 per month. The appointment will initially be for up to three years or co-terminus with the project, subject to the applicable funding agency and University conditions.

Position Details

Project Title

“Modeling and Implementation of an AI-Assisted FET-based Soil Sensor for Precision Farming”

The research project focuses on developing an AI-assisted FET-based soil sensing system for applications in precision farming.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• B.E./B.Tech in a relevant branch of Engineering/Technology, such as:
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
• The Bachelor’s degree should be in First Division.

AND

• M.E./M.Tech in a relevant branch of Engineering/Technology, such as:
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
• The Master’s degree should also be in First Division.

Salary

The selected Junior Research Assistant will receive:

₹28,000 per month (consolidated).

Duration

The appointment will be for three years or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.

The appointment will be governed by the applicable CST U.P. guidelines, funding agency conditions, and University of Allahabad project service conditions.
