The project is led by Prof. Guruprasad R. Medigeshi at IISER Tirupati.

Technical Officer / Senior Project Associate – 01 Post

The position is temporary and project-based, with an initial tenure of six months.

Essential Qualification & Experience

Candidates must satisfy one of the following routes:

Route 1

Candidates should have any one of the following:

• Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences
• Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences
• BVSc
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology or Medicine

The qualification must be from a recognized university or equivalent.

Experience:
At least 4 years of experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or Science & Technology organizations, including scientific activities and services.

Route 2

Candidates should possess:

• Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (Biological Sciences) from a recognized university or equivalent.

Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or Science & Technology organizations and scientific activities and services.

Route 3

Candidates should possess:

• Doctoral Degree in Life Science, Bio-Engineering or Biotechnology from a recognized university or equivalent.
• At least one first-author peer-reviewed publication indexed in a public database such as PubMed, SCOPUS, etc.

Desirable Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Infectious disease research
• Mammalian cell culture
• Handling of pathogenic viruses
• Protein expression and purification
• Molecular biology techniques

Salary / Emoluments

The selected candidate will receive:

₹57,000 per month + 10% HRA

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is:

50 years

The age is to be considered as on the date of interview.

Duration of Appointment

The initial appointment will be for:

6 months

The position may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance.

The appointment is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
