About the Opportunity
The Senior Project Scientist will be associated with cMahanadi at NIT Raipur and will contribute to a Government of India-sponsored project concerning the condition assessment and management planning of the Mahanadi River Basin in Chhattisgarh.
The position requires relevant expertise and experience in environmental engineering, water resources, river water quality and river basin management-related projects.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess:
Essential Qualification
- Ph.D. with 1 year of relevant experience
Desirable Qualification
- Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering
- Ph.D. in Water Resources
Experience Required
Candidates should have at least one year of experience in conducting projects related to environmental engineering and associated areas, including:
- River water quality
- Water treatment
- Wastewater treatment
- District river basin management
- River basin planning
Candidates having experience in the following areas will be preferred:
- Field surveys
- Data collection
- Sampling
- Data analysis
- Use of relevant software/tools
Skills Required
Applicants should possess:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to prepare scientific and technical reports
- Ability to edit scientific and technical articles
- Relevant experience in environmental projects
- Relevant experience in water-resource projects
Salary
The selected candidate will receive:
₹75,000 per month
Appointment Duration
The initial appointment will be for 6 months.
The appointment may be extended based on:
- Satisfactory performance
- Availability of project funds
- Project requirements
The position is full-time and purely temporary.
The selected candidate will not be permitted to undertake any other assignment during the appointment period.
