- B.E. / B.Tech. with 17 years of relevant experience in a large conglomerate.
- Ph.D. / Master’s / B.Tech. with at least five patents and five years of experience in a start-up.
A Ph.D. is desirable for guiding doctoral research scholars but is not mandatory for teaching under the general Professor of Practice framework.

Roles and Responsibilities
Selected Professors of Practice may be expected to:
- Develop and design courses and curricula.

Mileage allowance is payable only for journeys actually undertaken for university work and certified by the Head of the Department.
No travelling allowance or daily allowance is payable for attending the Selection Committee or interview.
The engagement does not provide service benefits, EPF, gratuity or other perks beyond the prescribed honorarium.
Tenure and Employment Conditions
- Initial engagement is for one year.
- The tenure may be extended up to three years in total.
- One additional year may be granted once for exceptionally good performance.
- The position is not necessarily full-time.
- The engagement does not confer a right to regular appointment, absorption, continuation or seniority at the university.
Selection Process
