Faculty Recruitment 2026

The Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) invites applications for engagement of Guest Faculty in various vocational and academic programmes. The available areas include Digital Journalism and Multimedia Applications, Tourism and Hospitality Management, English Language subjects for B.Voc programmes, and Epigraphy and Heritage Management.

The Central University of Tamil Nadu was established through an Act of Parliament and was inaugurated on 30 September 2009. The university is located at Neelakudi, Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu.

Department / Programme and Qualifications

1. B.Voc in Digital Journalism and Multimedia Applications

Candidates should have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the related field. NET/Ph.D. is preferred, along with relevant industrial or teaching experience.

2. B.Voc in Tourism and Hospitality Management

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree with 55% marks in Management, Tourism or another related field, along with NET/Ph.D. and/or relevant industrial experience.

3. Teaching English Language Subjects for B.Voc Programmes

Candidates should have a Postgraduate degree in English with SLET/NET/Ph.D. Teaching experience in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) is preferred.

4. Diploma in Epigraphy and Heritage Management

Candidates with M.A. in Tamil or M.A. in History in the related field, along with SLET/NET/Ph.D. and relevant experience, are eligible. A Diploma/PG Diploma in Archaeology and Epigraphy is also specified.

General Eligibility

The general eligibility requires a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade, in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university, along with SLET/NET/Ph.D. and/or relevant industrial or teaching experience.

Superannuated teachers may also be considered for Guest Faculty engagement, subject to a maximum age limit of 70 years.
