Project Title

“Development of impact test coupons with superior strain energy absorption characteristics for underbody protection in Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs)”

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Aerospace Engineering
• Material Science
• Production Engineering
• Engineering Design
• Manufacturing Engineering
• Any branch of Engineering with a valid GATE qualification

Candidates should also possess a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Science, Production Engineering, Engineering Design, Manufacturing Engineering or another relevant Engineering discipline.

Candidates must have secured:

• Minimum 60% aggregate marks, or
• CGPA of 6.5/10

in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.

Candidates should also have qualified NET / UGC / GATE at any time.

Final-semester M.Tech. students may also apply, subject to completing the degree within the prescribed time.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Strong academic record
• Knowledge relevant to the proposed research area
• Experience in design
• Knowledge of dynamic simulation
• Basic knowledge of additive manufacturing
• Good analytical skills
• Strong technical writing ability

Salary / Stipend

The selected SRF will receive:

₹42,000/- per month (consolidated)
+ 10% HRA as per applicable rules.
