Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as:

• M.Sc.
• M.Tech.
• MBA
• Data Science
• Engineering
• Statistics
• Operations Research
• Mathematics
• Business Analytics
• Operations Management
• Financial Analytics

The qualification should be obtained from a recognised or reputed university/institution.

Candidates holding a Master’s degree from IITs, IIMs or NITs may be preferred.

Experience

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Project Assistant, Project Associate or in a similar research-oriented position.
• Experience involving research, analytics, data collection or consultancy work.

Experience in IIMs, IITs, TISS or government-funded research projects may be given preference.

Desirable Skills

Candidates should preferably have:

• Quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills
• Proficiency in STATA, R or Python
• Experience in primary data collection
• Survey administration and field research experience
• Strong research writing and documentation skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi
• Willingness to undertake extensive travel within the North-Eastern Railway division

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will assist the Project Coordinator and Principal Investigator with:

• Primary and secondary data collection
• Field research
• Survey administration
• Statistical and quantitative analysis
• Literature reviews
• Research documentation
• Preparation of research reports
• Development of evidence-based policy insights
• Other project-related research and consultancy activities

Salary

The selected candidate will receive:

₹35,000 – ₹45,000/- per month

The exact remuneration may depend on the applicable project terms and candidate qualifications/experience.
