Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess:
- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
- First Class or equivalent in the preceding degree.
- Consistently good academic record.
- Department-specific qualifications prescribed in the official advertisement.
Experience Requirements
Assistant Professor Grade II
- Candidates with less than 3 years of post-Ph.D. teaching, research, or industrial experience may apply.
- Pay Level: Level 10 or Level 11 (7th CPC).
Assistant Professor Grade I
- Minimum 3 years of post-Ph.D. teaching, research, or industrial experience.
- Pay Level: Level 12 (7th CPC).
Salary and allowances will be provided as per Government of India and IIT Guwahati rules.
Age Limit
- Candidates should preferably be below 35 years of age as on the advertisement date.
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and PwBD candidates as per Government of India norms.
