The Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Hyderabad, has invited applications for the position of Project Manager to support research and development activities associated with Autonomous Navigation and Data Acquisition Systems.

The selected candidate will contribute to research, experimentation, product development, publications, intellectual property, commercialization, licensing and technology-transfer activities.

Key Responsibilities

The selected Project Manager will support various research and project-development activities, including:

• Reviewing relevant scientific and technical literature.
• Working in identified technical and research domains.
• Coordinating research activities with project team members.
• Managing experimental and computational facilities.
• Preparing technical and project reports.
• Supporting laboratory management.
• Coordinating and interacting with sponsoring agencies.
• Contributing to research products and technology development.
• Supporting development of outcomes with the highest possible Technology Readiness Level (TRL).
• Contributing to publications, intellectual property and potential commercialization activities.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. / Master’s Degree along with B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent qualification in one of the following disciplines:

• Computer Science
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Information Technology
• Mechanical Engineering
• Aerospace Engineering

Candidates with relevant research or industrial experience are encouraged to apply.

Academic Requirements

Applicants should have:

• CGPA of 7.5 or above at both undergraduate and Master’s levels.
• A strong academic record.
• Good technical and scientific writing skills.
• Relevant research, industrial or project experience.

Candidates with publications in standard/reputed journals will have an added advantage.

Note: Candidates should not have publications in predatory journals.

Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting thesis defence are also encouraged to apply.

Experience

Required Experience: 0–1 year

Relevant academic research, industrial exposure and technical project experience in the specified domains may be considered.

Salary / Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive:

₹35,000–₹42,000 per month

The remuneration is consolidated and negotiable, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and suitability.

Candidates selected for the position cannot avail themselves of any other fellowship simultaneously.

Duration

The initial appointment will be for one year.

The appointment may be extended further based on:

• Candidate performance
• Project requirements
• Continuation of the project
