Post: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
The selected candidate will work on the research project:
“Development of a Novel Therapeutic Strategy for Glioblastomas through Liposome-mediated Pharmacologic Targeting of Circadian Networks.”
The project focuses on developing a therapeutic strategy for glioblastomas through pharmacological targeting of circadian networks using liposome-based approaches.
IIT Hyderabad Project Research Scientist-I Eligibility
Candidates must meet one of the following essential qualification routes:
Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Life Science and related areas.
OR
- First Class Post Graduate Degree, including integrated PG degrees, in Life Science and related areas, along with
- 2 years of research experience after M.Sc./M.Pharm./M.Tech.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Candidates having previous research experience in relevant areas will be preferred.
The desirable expertise includes:
- Research experience at the Ph.D./post-doctoral level.
- Experience in mass spectrometry (MS)-based metabolomics/proteomics.
- Experience with big-data analysis using programming languages such as R, Python or Java.
- Experience with mouse models of cancer, particularly orthotopic glioma models.
- Experience in liposome-based nanotechnology for targeted cancer therapy.
- First-author original research publications, with two or more publications in Scopus-indexed Q1/Q2 journals, in areas related to:
- Cancer biology
- Mass spectrometry
- Circadian biology
IIT Hyderabad Project Research Scientist-I Salary
The selected candidate will receive:
₹56,000 + 30% HRA per month
The notification specifies that 30% HRA will be provided only when the candidate is not availing the hostel facility.
Duration of Appointment
The appointment will initially be made on a temporary basis for 11 months.
The tenure may be extended for another 3 years, subject to:
- Candidate’s performance
- Availability of project funding
The appointment is therefore project-based and temporary in nature.
