Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad invites applications for one Senior Project Associate position under a DBT-sponsored research project.
The selected candidate will work on the development of AI-integrated sensors for continuous monitoring of microplastic pollution in ocean environments, supporting improved seaweed and fishery production.

Essential Qualification
Candidates should meet either of the following qualification routes:
- Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Science, or
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or Medicine from a recognized university/equivalent
- At least 8 years of R&D experience in industrial/academic institutions, Science & Technology organizations, or scientific activities and services.
OR
Route 2:
- Doctoral degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma / MD / MS from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Candidates must also satisfy the applicable experience requirement mentioned in the official notification.
Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will contribute to the design and development of AI-integrated sensors for continuous monitoring of ocean-environment microplastic pollution.
The research is intended to support monitoring and management of microplastic pollution for enhanced seaweed and fishery production.
