About University: On June 12, 1964, the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU) was founded in Hyderabad. On March 20, 1965, the late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, the Honorable Prime Minister of India at the time, formally opened the university. Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, the Honourable Prime Minister of India at the time, launched the university’s construction program on June 23, 1966. The university honored and remembered the distinguished parliamentarian Acharya Nayakulu Gogineni Ranga by renaming the university Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University on November 7, 1996.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture of 4 years duration
- A Masters degree in the subject of Agronomy with at least 60% marks (or) equivalent overall grade point average, with at least 3 years research/ teaching experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/ Training.
Work Duration: 11 months from Date of Joining (or) regular post will fill up whichever is earlier.
Pay Scale:
- Rs. 49,000/- per month + 9% HRA for M.Sc (Ag)
Rs. 54,000/- per month + 9% HRA for Ph.D
