Kannur University was established by the Act 22 of 1996 of the Kerala Legislative Assembly. The university, originally known as “Malabar University,” came into existence through an ordinance by the Governor of Kerala on 9th November 1995 and was formally inaugurated on 2nd March 1996 by the then Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala.
The primary objective of Kannur University is to promote and develop higher education in the Kasargod and Kannur districts and the Mananthavady Taluk of Wayanad District through teaching, research, and affiliation.

Qualifications:

Research Associate–I:
Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with demonstrated experience in project coordination and management. -
Project Associate–I B:
Postgraduate degree in the respective discipline with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates with experience relevant to the project objectives and/or those holding NET/GATE qualifications. -
Technical Assistant:
Postgraduate degree as specified in the respective project requirements.

Pay Scale:

Research Associate–I: ₹58,000/- + 10% HRA

Project Associate–I B: ₹30,000/- (Consolidated)

Technical Assistant: ₹27,000/- + 10% HRA
