About Organization:
Sainik School Korukonda is one of the Sainik Schools established to prepare students academically, physically and mentally for entry into institutions such as the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy. The school is located at the historic Korukonda Palace in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh.
The Korukonda Palace was built in 1911 by Maharaja Vijayaram Gajapathi Raju as his country residence. The palace was later gifted for establishing the Sainik School in September 1961 by Smt. Bhagirathi Devi with the consent of her husband, Sir Vizzy. Dr. P.V.G. Raju, Raja Saheb of Vizianagaram and a noted philanthropist and educationist, played an important role in the establishment of the institution.
Since its inception, Sainik School Korukonda has focused on providing disciplined and holistic education while developing students for future careers in the Armed Forces and other professional fields.

Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the TGT Mathematics post should fulfil the prescribed academic and professional qualifications. The acceptable qualification routes include the following:
Route 1
A four-year integrated degree course from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in aggregate, including the B.Ed. component.
Route 2
A Bachelor’s/Honours Degree from a recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects as well as in aggregate, along with a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks.
Route 3
A three-year integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks.
Route 4
A one-year B.Ed. (Special Education) qualification from an institution recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), with at least 50% marks. Candidates appointed with B.Ed. (Special Education) are required to undergo the prescribed six-month Special Programme in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE after appointment.
Route 5
A Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject or any specialization in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade, provided the candidate has studied the prescribed subjects at the graduation level and possesses a three-year integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks.
Subject Requirements for TGT Mathematics
Candidates should have studied the following subjects as prescribed:
- Mathematics as an elective/main subject for at least 3 years / 6 semesters during graduation or the four-year integrated degree course.
- Physics for at least 1 year / 2 semesters of the course.
- At least one of Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science or Statistics for at least 1 year / 2 semesters.
Candidates who studied the above subjects under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) are also eligible, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed conditions.
Important: Candidates holding B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics or Chemistry are not eligible for the TGT Mathematics post.
Teacher Eligibility Requirement
Candidates must also have:
- Qualified CTET Paper-II conducted by CBSE; or
- Passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Secondary School conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with NCTE guidelines.

Salary / Pay Scale
The selected candidate will receive:
Entry Pay: Rs. 44,900/-
The post carries Level 7 of the Pay Matrix as per the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
In addition to the entry pay, the post carries applicable benefits and allowances, including:

- Transport Allowance
- Other applicable allowances and benefits as per rules
Selection Process
Eligible applications will be scrutinized by the school. Shortlisted candidates may be called for the prescribed written test and/or interview.
Candidates shortlisted and called for the written test/interview will not be paid TA/DA for attending the selection process.
