About Organization:

Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University is the first sports university in the North Eastern region of India. It was established by the Government of Assam at Chabua, Dibrugarh, with a focus on higher education, research and professional development in sports sciences, physical education and allied disciplines.

The university is named after Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva, a revered Vaishnava saint and social reformer of Assam. Established under the Assam Legislative Assembly Act No. LGL.164/2018/7, the university received the assent of the Governor of Assam on 10th December 2018.

The university aims to develop highly skilled sports scientists, physical educationists, sports coaches and researchers in areas such as sport psychology, exercise science, sports biomechanics, sports medicine, sports physiotherapy, health education, sports technology and sports analytics.

Vacancy Details

Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University has invited applications for the following regular positions:

1. Professor – Sports Management / Management

Eligibility

Candidates should fulfil either Eligibility A or Eligibility B given below.

Eligibility A

• An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline.
• Should have published high-quality research work and be actively engaged in research.
• A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• A total research score of 120 as per the UGC criteria specified in Appendix II, Table 2.
• A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in a University/College as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor and/or research experience at an equivalent level in a University/National-level institution.
• Evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates.

OR

Eligibility B

An outstanding professional having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied discipline from an academic institution or industry, who has made a significant contribution to knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence, and having 10 years of experience.

2. Finance & Accounts Officer

Educational Qualification & Experience

Candidates should possess:

• A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade on the applicable point scale.
• At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 or above, or
• At least 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 or above, including service as an Associate Professor, along with experience in educational administration.

OR

Comparable experience in a research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.

OR

15 years of administrative experience, of which at least 8 years should be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

3. Librarian

Educational Qualification & Experience

Candidates should possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Librarian at any level in a University Library; or
• 10 years of teaching experience as an Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science; or
• 10 years of experience as a College Librarian.
• Evidence of innovative library services, including integration of ICT in a library.
• A Ph.D. degree in Library Science, Information Science, Documentation, Archives and Manuscript Keeping.

Pay Scale

The pay scale mentioned for the recruitment is:

Rs. 1,44,200 – Rs. 2,18,200
