About the Institution

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) was established on 12th June 1964 as Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University. It was renamed on 7th November 1996 in honour of the eminent Parliamentarian and Kisan Leader, Acharya N.G. Ranga. The university serves students and farming communities across Andhra Pradesh through agricultural education, research and extension activities.

  • Teaching Associate – Department of Agricultural Extension: 01 Post

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Teaching Associate position should fulfil the following qualifications:

  1. Ph.D. in the relevant subject OR Master’s degree in the relevant subject.
  2. Bachelor’s degree of 4/5 years with first division or equivalent overall grade point average.
  3. At least three years of teaching or research experience, demonstrated through fellowship, associateship, training or other engagements.
  4. At least one published research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) journal or NAAS-rated journal with a rating of 4.0 or above.
  5. NET qualification is required for candidates with a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences (3-year Bachelor’s and 2-year Master’s).

Age Limit

  • Men: Maximum 40 years.
  • Women: Maximum 45 years.

Experience Required

A minimum of three years of relevant teaching or research experience through fellowship, associateship, training or other recognised engagements.

Salary Details

  • Master’s Degree Holders: Rs. 61,000 per month plus applicable HRA.
  • Ph.D. Holders: Rs. 67,000 per month plus applicable HRA.

HRA will be provided according to existing State Government rates.

Selection Process

  1. Registration and verification of documents before 9:30 AM on the interview day.
  2. Walk-in interview before the selection committee.
  3. Medical examination of selected candidates at their own expense before appointment.

The decision of the selection committee will be final.
