About the Institution

Assam Skill University aims to address the educational and training requirements of students, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, higher education providers and industries. The university focuses on developing skilled human resources and strengthening vocational and technical education.

Available Position

  • Guest Faculty – Department of Food Technology: 01 Post

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Guest Faculty position in Food Technology should possess any of the following qualifications:

  • M.E./M.Tech./M.S./Integrated M.Tech./M.Sc./Integrated M.Sc./M.Voc in Food Technology, Food Processing, Food Engineering, Dairy Technology, Chemical Engineering, Post-harvest Engineering or Food Science & Nutrition.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade from an Indian or recognised foreign university.
  • The qualifying degree must have been obtained through full-time regular mode.
  • Ph.D. in any one of the above disciplines OR NET qualification in the relevant subject.

Relaxation in Marks

A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) at the Bachelor’s and/or Master’s level is applicable to candidates belonging to:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC)
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)
  • Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL)
  • Differently-abled candidates

The minimum educational qualifications will be governed by applicable UGC/AICTE/NCTE regulations.

Salary / Remuneration

Selected candidates will receive remuneration as follows:

  • Candidates not employed in government institutions: ₹1,500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of ₹40,000 per month.
  • Candidates already employed in government institutions: ₹800 per lecture, subject to a maximum of ₹40,000 per month.

Note: No additional allowances are admissible.

Employment Duration

The Guest Faculty engagement will be purely temporary for a period of four months.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through the following process:

  1. Walk-in interview at the Guest House, Assam Skill University Campus, Mangaldai.
  2. Verification of original documents and self-attested photocopies.
  3. Medical examination of selected candidates as per University norms.
