VNIT Nagpur JRF Recruitment 2026 invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow post under an ISRO-funded ECE research project. Eligible B.Tech, Bachelor’s and M.Tech candidates with valid GATE can apply by September 15, 2026. Salary ₹37,000 plus 8% HRA.

Project Title

“PIC based Tx and Rx with multiplexed optical channels employing polarization modulation and homodyne/heterodyne detection”

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • A 4-year B.Tech./Bachelor’s/M.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or an equivalent/related discipline from a recognized university/institution.
  • First Class or minimum 6.5 CGPA out of 10 or equivalent.
  • A valid GATE qualification in the relevant discipline.

Duration

  • Initial appointment: 1 year
  • The position may be extended up to 3 years, subject to satisfactory performance and the maximum duration of the project.
  • The position is purely temporary.

Salary / Emoluments

₹37,000 per month + 8% HRA

Ph.D. Opportunity

The selected candidate may have an opportunity to register for the regular Ph.D. programme at VNIT Nagpur, subject to fulfilling the applicable Ph.D. admission eligibility requirements.
