About Organization:

The TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS), New Delhi, has announced faculty recruitment and research fellowship opportunities across areas including Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Environmental Sciences, Natural Sciences and related interdisciplinary fields.

The current faculty recruitment includes two regular Assistant Professor positions in the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences. Eligible candidates can apply through email and postal mode. The soft-copy application deadline is 10 September 2026, while the hard-copy application must reach the university by 13 September 2026.

1. Assistant Professor – Data Science & Artificial Intelligence

Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade, in the relevant discipline.

Applicants should have qualified UGC/CSIR-NET, SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. awarded in accordance with applicable UGC regulations.

Desirable qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or allied disciplines relevant to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Candidates with M.Tech./M.Sc. qualifications in relevant areas and a strong foundation in programming, mathematics, statistics and machine learning will be preferred. An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or BCA may also be advantageous.

2. Assistant Professor – Remote Sensing / Geoinformatics

The position focuses on Remote Sensing and Geoinformatics, particularly applications involving AI, Machine Learning and Deep Learning for Earth Observation and risk assessment related to disaster risk reduction in mountain and ocean ecosystems.

Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade, and should have qualified UGC/CSIR-NET, SLET/SET or possess a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations.

A Ph.D. in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences or Environmental Engineering will be desirable. M.Tech./M.Sc. qualifications with strong expertise in remote sensing and environmental applications will also be advantageous.

Candidates demonstrating the ability to establish research collaborations and secure research funding may receive preference.
