Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The university is headquartered at Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana, and its main campus covers approximately 200 acres.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Assistant Professor – Management (02 Posts)
Candidates should possess:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), PGDBM or a relevant allied discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Ph.D. or NET in Management, as per the applicable UGC/AICTE regulations and amendments.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Skills in digital teaching tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to use AI-enabled applications, including Generative AI, for teaching and academic content development.
- Knowledge of Urdu.
2. Assistant Professor – Social Work (01 Post)
Candidates should possess:
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the concerned, relevant or allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or an equivalent UGC-accredited examination such as SLET/SET.
NET Exemption:
Candidates awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 and their subsequent amendments are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
Alternatively, candidates possessing a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 in QS, Times Higher Education (THE) or Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) are eligible as specified in the notification.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to use AI-enabled applications for teaching and academic content development.
- Knowledge of Urdu.
3. Assistant Professor – Education (B.Ed. Programme) (02 Posts)
Candidates should possess:
- Postgraduate degree in the discipline relevant to the area of specialisation, such as Pedagogy of Physical Science and Mathematics, with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed./M.A. Education) with a minimum of 55% marks.
- NET or SLET/SET qualification, or a Ph.D. awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 and their subsequent amendments.
Alternatively, candidates possessing a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 in QS, THE or ARWU rankings may be considered as specified in the notification.
Preferred Specialisation:
- Pedagogy of Physical Science and Mathematics.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Skills in digital teaching tools.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to use AI-enabled applications for teaching and academic content development.
- Knowledge of Urdu.
Mandatory Urdu Language Requirement (All Posts)
Knowledge of Urdu is compulsory for all teaching positions because the medium of instruction is Urdu.
Candidates must fulfil at least one of the following conditions:
- Studied in an Urdu-medium school.
- Studied in a Madarsa.
- Studied Urdu as a subject at Class X level.
- Studied Urdu at +2, undergraduate or postgraduate level from a recognised board or university.
Candidates should carry appropriate documentary proof of their Urdu language knowledge.
Desirable Candidate Profile
The university is looking for candidates who:
- Are comfortable using technology and digital teaching tools.
- Can use Learning Management Systems (LMS) for online and distance education.
- Can use AI-enabled applications for teaching and academic content development.
- Are willing to work at MANUU Headquarters, Hyderabad, or other university institutions as required.
- May include retired teachers from government-recognised institutions, including Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors, below 65 years of age.
Age Limit
Retired teaching professionals below 65 years of age may also be considered, subject to the applicable recruitment conditions.

Salary / Remuneration
Selected candidates will receive a monthly remuneration of:
Up to ₹50,000 per month, as per applicable UGC norms.
The salary will not exceed ₹50,000 per month.
