All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur, is an Institute of National Importance functioning autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India. The institute was established under Phase V of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) to improve access to affordable and reliable tertiary healthcare.
AIIMS Bilaspur has developed a major Phase-I healthcare facility with 750 beds and multiple specialty and super-specialty departments, supported by advanced facilities including ICUs, modular operation theatres, CT, MRI, digital radiography, cath lab, and dialysis services.

Essential Qualifications
Candidates must possess the qualifications prescribed under Annexure-A of the official recruitment notification.
Applicants must be registered with the State Medical Council, Medical Council of India (MCI), or National Medical Commission (NMC), as applicable.
Candidates holding DNB qualifications in broad or super specialties must provide documentary evidence establishing DNB equivalence with MD, MS, DM, or MCh, as applicable, in accordance with the relevant MCI notification dated 31st October 2018.
Experience
Experience requirements vary according to the post and specialty and are prescribed in Annexure-A of the official notification.
Candidates who underwent DNB training at institutions covered under the applicable provisions of the MCI notification may be required to possess an additional 4 to 5 years of experience from an MCI-recognized or permitted institution for establishing equivalence.

Professor
- Direct Recruitment: Maximum 58 years
- Deputation: Maximum 56 years
- Retired Faculty: Maximum 70 years
Associate Professor
- Maximum 50 years
- Retired Faculty: Up to 70 years
Assistant Professor
- Maximum 50 years
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Central Government Servants: 5 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Age relaxation and related benefits will be applicable as per DoPT/Government of India guidelines.
No age relaxation is applicable to EWS candidates or to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved vacancies, as specified in the recruitment conditions.
Salary Details
Professor
Pay Matrix: Level 14A
Basic Pay: ₹1,68,900 – ₹2,20,400
Associate Professor
Pay Matrix: Level 13A1
Basic Pay: ₹1,38,300 – ₹2,09,200
Assistant Professor
Pay Matrix: Level 12
Basic Pay: ₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400
All posts carry applicable allowances under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) will be applicable to candidates possessing recognized medical qualifications, as per rules.
