Essential Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
- Candidates must have qualified:
- UGC-NET
- CSIR-NET
- SLET/SET (as applicable)
NET/SLET/SET Exemption
Candidates possessing Ph.D. qualifications under applicable UGC regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET requirements subject to prescribed conditions.
Relaxation in Marks
- SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and PwD candidates: 5% relaxation (55% to 50%).
- Ph.D. holders who completed their Master’s degree before September 1991 are also eligible for a 5% relaxation.
Desirable Qualification
- Knowledge of customs, manners, dialects, and socio-cultural conditions of Himachal Pradesh.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 45 Years
- Age calculated as on 01 January 2026
Age Relaxation
- 5 years relaxation for:
- SC/ST/OBC/WFF of Himachal Pradesh
- Persons with Disabilities of Himachal Pradesh
- Additional relaxation for Government employees and Ex-Servicemen as per Government rules.
Salary Details
- Fixed Emoluments: ₹35,000 per month
- Appointment will be governed under the Himachal Pradesh Government Job Trainee Scheme notified on 19 July 2025.
