Position Overview

Lakhotia College of Design is seeking passionate and experienced Fashion Design Faculty members to join its academic team at the Abids campus. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject expertise, industry exposure, and the ability to guide students in both the creative and technical aspects of fashion design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging classroom lectures and practical sessions in Fashion Design.
  • Teach subjects including:
    • Fashion Illustration
    • Garment Construction
    • Pattern Making
    • Draping
    • Textiles
    • Fashion Styling
    • Fashion Communication
    • CAD for Fashion Design
    • Portfolio Development
    • Fashion Merchandising
  • Develop lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessments.
  • Mentor students for fashion shows, exhibitions, competitions, and portfolio presentations.
  • Guide students on industry trends, career opportunities, and professional development.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Coordinate with academic teams for effective curriculum implementation.
  • Participate in workshops, seminars, institutional events, and academic activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of teaching and/or industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Fashion Design Principles
    • Textiles
    • Garment Construction
    • Fashion Trends
    • Fashion Styling and Merchandising
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Industry experience in fashion design, styling, merchandising, or apparel production.
  • Portfolio showcasing design projects and creative work.
  • Proficiency in design software such as:
    • Adobe Illustrator
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • CLO 3D
    • Other relevant fashion design tools
  • Strong mentoring and student engagement abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

Competitive salary ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹28,000 per month based on qualifications, expertise, and experience.
