1. Field Assistant – Scented Rice Project
Project: “Genomics assisted improvement of scented rice from Assam (Joha) and Manipur for yield enhancement under stress and improved nutrition” (GAP-61)
Principal Investigator: Prof. Ashwani Pareek
Co-Principal Investigator: Dr. Joy K. Roy
Post: Field Assistant (FA)

Duration: Up to 11 June 2029 or availability of project funds
Qualification
Candidates should possess:
- B.Sc.; or
- Three-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology
Experience in field and laboratory work will be desirable.
Responsibilities
The selected Field Assistant will undertake extensive field and laboratory activities, including data scoring, extraction and other project-related research work.
Emoluments: Rs. 20,000 per month + 18% HRA.

2. Junior Research Fellow – Wheat Research Project
Project: “Dissecting wheat tissue-type specific iron homeostatic transcriptional responses mediated by basic helix loop helix protein” (GAP-86)

Initial Duration: One year
Qualification
Candidates should possess an M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Botany or a related area along with CSIR-NET/GATE/LS or another applicable qualification for JRF appointment as prescribed under the relevant DST guidelines.
Emoluments: Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA.

3. Senior Research Fellow – Colored Cereals Project
Project: Development and Characterization of Colored Cereals (ICAR-CRP Biofortification) – GAP-73
Principal Investigator: Dr. Monika Garg
Post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Duration: Co-terminus with the project
Qualification
Candidates should possess a Postgraduate Degree in Basic Science or a Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a professional course selected through the prescribed national-level selection process.
Eligible national-level examinations/selection routes include:
- CSIR-UGC-NET
- GATE
- GPAT
- National-level examinations conducted by government departments and agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IITs, IISc and IISERs
Candidates should also have a minimum of two years of research experience as a Junior Research Fellow.
Desirable Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in:
- Plant genetics
- Plant breeding
- Plant biochemistry
- Cereal crop improvement
- Molecular characterization of crop germplasm
- Biochemical characterization of crop germplasm
Emoluments: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA as per project norms.

4. Junior Research Fellow – Biosensor Development Project
Project: “Aptamer-Assisted Microcapillary based Sensor for On-board Detection of Stress Markers under Microgravity”

Duration: One year, extendable annually subject to satisfactory progress, institutional requirements and availability of funds.
Qualification
Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree from a recognized University/Institute in one of the following or related fields:

Work Area
The selected candidate will work primarily in:
- Biosensor development
- Aptamer selection
Experience in aptamer selection and basic knowledge of confocal microscopy and fluorescence microscopy will be desirable.
Emoluments: Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA.
