Recruitment Highlights

Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy Eligibility A or B.

Eligibility A

1. Master’s Degree

A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the relevant, concerned or allied subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

2. NET / SLET / SET / Ph.D.

Candidates should have qualified:

• UGC NET, or
• CSIR NET, or
• A similar UGC-accredited examination such as SLET/SET,

OR

Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with the applicable UGC regulations may be exempt from NET/SLET/SET.

Special Ph.D. Exemption

Candidates who registered for their Ph.D. before 11 July 2009 may also be exempt from NET/SLET/SET, subject to the prescribed conditions, including:

• Ph.D. awarded through regular mode.
• Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
• Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
• At least two research papers published from the Ph.D. work, including at least one in a refereed journal.
• At least two papers presented at eligible conferences/seminars.
• Fulfilment of these conditions certified by the Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs).

NET/SLET/SET is also not required for Master’s programmes in disciplines where such eligibility tests are not conducted by the relevant authorities.

Eligibility B

A Ph.D. from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking, at any time, by any one of:

1. Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)
2. Times Higher Education (THE)
3. Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Pay / Honorarium

Selected Guest Faculty will receive an honorarium of:

₹1,500 per lecture

subject to a maximum of:

₹50,000 per month

as per current University norms and UGC guidelines.
