Project Scientist-I Recruitment 2026

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati invites applications for one Project Scientist-I position under a research project focused on biotechnology-enabled smart commercial mushroom production.

The project combines IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, blockchain technology and solar-powered solutions to develop smart commercial mushroom production systems for the upliftment of the ST community of Nagaland.

Project Details

Project Title:
Developing Cooperative Modelled Enterprises for Revolutionizing Commercial Ecosystem (COMERCE), driven by blockchain technology, to boost organic mushroom production by application of state of the art smart IoT/AI/ML Enabled Solar Powered Commercial Mushroom Production (ISCOMP) solutions for the upliftment of ST Community of Nagaland

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess one of the following qualifications, subject to the relevant experience requirements specified in the official advertisement:

  • Ph.D. in Engineering / Technology / Science
  • Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology from a recognized university, preferably in:
    • Electronics
    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Agriculture
    • Equivalent disciplines

An alternative qualification route involving a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology, preferably in Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Agriculture or an equivalent discipline, along with relevant industrial experience, is also indicated in the advertisement.

Remuneration

  • Recommended Pay: ₹56,000 per month
  • HRA: ₹11,200
  • Medical: ₹1,250
  • Total Monthly Amount: ₹68,450

Duration

The initial appointment will be for 11 months, subject to project requirements and applicable terms.
