About the Project

IIITDM Jabalpur invites applications for 01 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under a DST-funded research project titled:

“Artificial Intelligence Enabled Kharif Season Cropland Mapping and Phenotype Monitoring using Multimodal Temporal Data.”

The project focuses on using Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and multimodal temporal data for Kharif-season cropland mapping and phenotype monitoring.

Position Details

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Graduate or Postgraduate degree such as:

• B.E./B.Tech.
• M.E./M.Tech.

in any of the following or related disciplines:

• Computer Science and Engineering
• Artificial Intelligence
• Data Science
• Information Technology
• Other relevant branches

Desirable Qualifications

Candidates who have qualified in a recent national-level examination will be preferred, including:

• GATE
• CSIR-UGC NET
• Other similar national-level examinations

Fellowship / Salary

The selected candidate will receive:

₹37,000/- per month + 20% HRA

The candidate will be stationed in Delhi and will work with the project’s consortium partner, RBASED Services Private Limited, located near Rohini Sector 22, Delhi.

Age Limit

Candidates should preferably be below 35 years of age as on the date of the written test/interview.

Duration of Appointment

The appointment is purely temporary and project-based.

• The position may be renewed annually based on satisfactory performance.
• The maximum tenure is 2 years or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Selection Process

The selection will generally consist of:

1. Written Test / Skill Test
2. Interview

The written test may be waived for candidates possessing GATE, NET, or another similar national-level qualification, subject to applicable institute norms.

The selection process will be conducted in hybrid mode. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the selection process.

PhD Opportunity

The selected JRF may have an opportunity to register for a regular PhD programme at IIITDM Jabalpur, subject to fulfilling the Institute’s prescribed eligibility requirements.
